Slough skipper Bobby Sher.

SLOUGH stormed to victory in the Farnham Royal Twenty20 competition on Tuesday evening.

They overcame Julian Cup holders Maidenhead & Bray as the Home Counties Premier League outfit made sure there was no shock.

Maidenhead & Bray were restricted to 133-9 as the wickets were shared around with two each for skipper Bobby Sher and Nheem Amin.

Ayub hit 51 for the Bray side but it was not enough as Slough cruised to a five wicket victory in 16 overs.

Sher said: “It was a very good display. We were quite comfortable in the end.”

Maidenhead’s John Hewitt remarked: “I think we felt it was a few runs short of challenging them, they have some talented players.

“We won the Julian Cup but this was our first year in thisand it’s a step up but we will come back stronger.”
