Be a good neighbour

NOISY neighbours are being advised to turn the volume down as the weather gets warmer.

Slough Borough Council is asking people to be considerate of their neighbours and move parties inside at 11pm.

Dympna Molloy, head of neighbourhood enforcement at the council, said: “We don’t want to stop people having fun, but sound does travel far more than people realise, which can cause problems for others wishing to sleep and enjoy their own property.

“During this warmer weather, most people will be sleeping with their window open, which means they will be disturbed much more readily.”

The council hopes that following the advice will cut down the number of out of hours complaints to the noise service.

People experiencing problems can call the neighbourhood enforcement team on 01753 875255.
