Two people have died following separate road death tragedies in Slough and Windsor.

A 21-year-old woman died after a collision with a car as she crossed Stoke Road near Slough Foyer, and a man in his mid-30s was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital following a collision with a bus on Sunday afternoon.

The man had not been identified by the time the Midweek went to press.

Emergency staff, including police, arrived at the scene at 2.39pm and rushed the pedestrian to Wexham Park Hospital in Wexham Street, Slough.

The man was pronounced dead on arrival at 3.18pm. Police officers closed Kings Road and the Datchet Road end of Albert Road in Windsor for investigation.

The roads reopened three hours later after the vehicle from a private coach company had been removed.

Anyone who witnessed the incident should call PC Pete Dallas on 0845 8 505 505.

The woman, Susannah Kingsley, was hit by a black Mini Cooper as she crossed Stoke Road near her home, shortly before 10pm on Wednesday last week.

She was formally identified on Friday and an inquest was opened into the tragedy. Ms Kingsley was taken to Wexham Park Hospital, where she died in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Mini stopped at the scene and the driver was spoken to by police. Stoke Road was closed at its junctions with Elliman Avenue and St Paul’s Avenue until 1am to allow accident investigators to examine the scene.

A spokesman for the L&Q Group, which manages the Slough Foyer, said: “We can confirm that one of our residents, Susannah Kingsley, 21, was killed following a collision in Stoke Road yesterday.

“Susannah was a hard-working and very popular girl and everyone who knew her is shocked and deeply upset. Our thoughts are with all her friends and family at this time.”

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact the investigating officer, PC Christopher Grocock, from the Roads Policing Department, Taplow, on 0845 8 505 505.
