Shop robbed at knifepoint
By Aamina Zafar
POLICE are looking for a masked robber who terrorised a shopkeeper at knifepoint and then stole from him.
The owner of Quality Foods was threatened with a kitchen knife after a man, whose face was covered with a balaclava, raided the store at around 2.50pm on Friday.
He left the shop in Cherwell Close, Langley, with an undisclosed amount of cash. Det Sgt Dominic Found, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a very frightening incident for the shop owner as the offender was very aggressive and made threats with a knife.
“The incident happened at a busy time of the day and I am confident there were people in the area who saw the offender leave the shop.”
Police are on the hunt for the man described as white, around 6ft 3ins and of medium build. He was wearing a black long-sleeved coat with fur trimming around the hood and a logo on the left chest area, blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes along the legs, white trainers and black gloves.
Anyone with information can call the police on 08458 505505.
