Two men arrested after gunman hunt

TWO men have been arrested after police launched an extensive hunt for a gunman.

Officers arrested a 42 and 48-year-old from addresses in Cippenham at around 3am today (Wednesday).

This comes after the public made several calls to police at 2.46pm on Tuesday about an armed man who is believed to have threatened people in the Bower Way area.

The 42-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of firearm and threats to kill and the 48-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both remain in police custody this morning.
