Apprentice Lindi is good for the job
All smiles: Lindi Mngaza
THE self-confident Apprentice hopeful who was fired after an ice-cream melt-down has been hired by a Windsor marketing company.
Lindi Mngaza become the fifth person to be fired by multi-millionaire businessman Sir Alan Sugar on the hit TV programme The Apprentice, after being part of the losing team in an ice-cream sale based task.
The 22-year-old has now been hired by Windsor marketing company Effective Marketing Solutions as a business development director. Lindi said: “I was approached by the director, who I met two years ago at an exhibition and he was impressed by my achievements. I was looking for a challenge after I left the TV show, something I can use all my talents in.”
Since leaving the house, the Brummie lass, who crowned herself ‘African Princess’, has been romantically linked to co-star Michael Sophocles. Talking about her experience on the show, Lindi said: “It was lots of fun and I learnt a lot in a short time. I learnt a lot about myself, it was extremely character-building.
“When I got down to the last 16 candidates I was convinced I was going to win and not winning was a humbling experience.
“The show has made me more driven and confident that I am going to make £1m before I am 30, so that I can retire.”
Lindi began her new role at the company in Church Street, Windsor, three weeks ago and in her first week secured deals with two companies. In her role Lindi is currently building up a team of sales people and will be approaching companies with hopes of building a long-lasting relationship.
Director of Effective Marketing Solutions Dean Ward said: “I think having Lindi here has enhanced our team. She is a breath of fresh air. Her approach is forward and engaging and our clients like that.”
