A NEIGHBOUR from hell who terrorised residents for years has finally been evicted.

The woman, who has not yet been named by police, was evicted from her flat in Clarendon Court, Wexham Road, after residents complained of anti-social behaviour and drug use at the property.

One relieved mother said she was glad to see her go because she attracted suspicious characters who loitered outside the flats waiting to buy drugs, right in front of children walking home from school.

Wexham Lea councillor, David MacIsaac, said: “I am pleased to hear that this nuisance neighbour has been evicted after causing so much distress for other residents.

“I reported her to the police after residents came to me telling me stories of how there was constant screaming and swearing coming from the flat at at all hours of the night.

“Many people were too scared to report her to the police, let alone confront her, because she was so intimidating.

PC Nick Currie, Neighbourhood Specialist Officer (NSO) for Wexham Lea, said: “This address has been a focus for crime and anti-social behaviour for several years. We have received many complaints from residents about the flat.

“By working with the private landlord of the flat, and with the assistance of People 1st Housing Association, we were able to use a range of powers to remove the tenant and bring an end to the problems suffered by her neighbours.

“Much of the evidence that enabled us to obtain the eviction order was provided by members of the community, and we would like to thank these public-spirited individuals for coming forward with information.”

The woman was evicted with immediate effect on Tuesday, May 6, after a district judge issued a warrant for the repossession of her flat at Slough County Court.
