MINISTER for the Olympics Tessa Jowell has been confirmed as keynote speaker at Business Live 08.
The July 15 event, at Ascot racecourse, laid on by Thames Valley Chamber and Bob Geldof's media business Ten Alps, is the area's premier business event. The media promoter is Chronicle publisher Berkshire Media Group.
Ms Jowell who co-chairs the Olympic board, will explain how businesses in the region can get involved in the London 2012 Olympics. She is already on record as saying: "We are more determined than ever that every part of the country shares in this great national project and contributes to delivering the best Games ever."
Her speech is among an extensive programme of seminars, panel discussions and demonstrations, covering business topics from transport to employment law.
One company will be presented with the Business Live Excellence Award at the event.
Entries can still be made through the Business Live website.
The Liberal Democrat's Treasury Spokesman Vince Cable is keynote speaker at the Business Breakfast, which will give early birds the opportunity to tour the exhibition before the event opens at 10am.
