Miracle of the aubergine

A FAMILY is counting their blessings after finding the name of Allah, the Islamic God, – inside an aubergine.
Hoards of visitors have been excitedly calling round to see the miraculous aubergine, which the family are taking as a blessing.
Wexham School pupil, Zainab Shah, 14, of Cromwell Drive, has been telling all her friends how she cut open the aubergine on Wednesday evening and when her mum, Fawra, was cleaning the vegetable she saw the Arabic word for Allah written in seeds inside.
Her aunt, Leila Shah said: “My sister was so happy when she saw it. She thought this is beautiful in the grace of God. It is a miracle. What are the chances of finding God’s name in an aubergine? It is perfectly written. It is not just for Muslims, it is for everyone else to think about.
“Most definitely it is a blessing. It is a sign and it is a blessing before Ramadan. The family is really happy and the people who have seen it have all taken pictures.
“People don’t like to follow a blind faith, people like to see signs, and the signs are there. We have got religious people ringing up saying they want to show it to people who come to their mosques. We are just sharing it with everyone. They are definitely going to be curious.”
Zainab’s uncle, Jaffa Shah, was also amazed and has been telling friends all over the world about it. He said: “It is a blessing from God. Not everybody gets the opportunity to see such a magnificent thing.”
Mohammed Ayub, trustee of Stoke Poges Lane Mosque, is waiting to judge the likeness for himself. He said: “If something clearly has it written on it then it looks miraculous. Allah is another name for God and God is the only one, so if it does appear it is a miracle for everyone.”
