Go mutts and be top dog in Barks!

PET pooches are set to go barking mad for the chance to be voted top dog with the Observer's very own competition at the popular Wag and Bone show next weekend.

The BARKshire's Top Dog competition will be taking entries for the waggiest tail, most loveable rogue and best looking mutt on Saturday, August 2, at Windsor Great Park.

Entrants must fill in the coupon, which will be in Friday's Royal Borough Observer, and bring it along to the Wood Green Ring between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on the day for a chance to win a whole host of fantastic prizes.

The Observer competition is just one of the many exciting attractions found at the annual show which offers lots of fun for dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as their owners.

The show, hosted by TV presenter Peter Purves, will include nine rings and entertainment centres. featuring the Dog Train and Behave Week Final, an advice centre, have-a-go agility, a trick, treat and teach me ring and much more.

Observer editor, Roger Hawes, said: "We are really looking forward to giving our readers the chance to show off their marvellous mutts. All dog lovers can put their pooches forward for a range of categories by filling in the entry forms."

There will also be a special appearance by dancing pair, Kate and her dog Gin, who won the hearts of millions on the recent series of the hit TV show Britain's Got Talent.
