Drugs in his pants
A DRUG dealer was literally caught with his pants down in Slough after police found him asleep in his car.
Knolly Sally was jailed for three years at Reading Crown Court after being found guilty of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
The court heard that the 49-year-old father and grandfather was found with two wraps of cocaine stashed in his underpants when searched by police in Slough.
Hamish Common, prosecuting, said that Sally was asleep in his car on Cippenham Lane when he was approached by police in July last year.
He told the court that while police were speaking to the defendant he was seen trying to conceal a black carrier bag.
He said: “Inside the bag police found drugs paraphernalia. There were drug scales, cling film, a home-made crack pipe and 4.89 grams of
cannabis.
Judge Zoe Smith heard that Sally was taken to Slough police station and during a search officers found two small wraps of cocaine in his underpants.
Mr Common said that the crack cocaine was valued at £130 and the cannabis between £7 and £11.
The court also heard that at the time of the offence Sally, from Harefield, was in the midst of a 12-month conditional discharge for criminal damage and battery.
A jury convicted Sally of one count of possession of class A drugs with the intent to supply earlier this year. He had previously admitted the lesser charge of possession. He was acquitted on a charge of possession with the intent to supply the cannabis but had already admitted possession of the controlled drug.
On sentencing him to three years behind bars Judge Smith said: “In the pre-sentence report you revealed that you planned to take drugs in the future and do not have any intention of giving them up. This court sees, on a daily basis, young people whose lives have been ruined by drugs, in particular class A drugs.”
