POLICE searching for a missing Slough man who plunged into the River Thames in Windsor during a boat party on Wednesday night have found a body this afternoon (Friday).

Thames Valley Police's Specialist Search and Rescue Team discovered the body of a man at 2.15pm near the White Pontoon at Windsor Racecourse.

Peter Jones has not been since he was reported to have fallen into the water during a private boat party held by Arbour Vale School for staff on Wednesday night.

Trained divers had been dispatched to the area to search the river and its banks looking for the 43-year-old , who had recently started work at the Farnham Road special needs school as a facilities manager.

A formal identification of the body found is expected to take place later today (Friday).
