EX councillor Eshaq Khan back in court again
By Aamina Zafar
DISGRACED ex-councillor Eshaq Khan will go back to court after being charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and perjury.
The former Tory, 51, of Oban Court, Chalvey, was charged by detectives on Tuesday in connection to the High Court Election Petition hearing at Slough Town Hall in February this year where Khan was found guilty of vote rigging in Slough’s Central ward during the May 2007 elections.
This cost ex Labour Cllr Lydia Simmons her seat after 23-years in power.
He will be joined by three other Slough men - Mohammed Basharat Khan, 45, of Mirador Crescent, Gul Nawaz Khan, 57, of Richmond Crescent, and 45-year-old Mahboob Khan of Quinbrookes - who are jointly charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and perjury.
All four have been released on bail until their court appearance tomorrow morning (Thursday).
