GOLFERS can team up and enjoy a round of golf while raising money for charity.

The Slough Lions Club will be hosting a golf tournament at Thorney Park Golf Club in Iver Heath on Thursday, September 18 where teams of four can take part, or smaller groups can team up.

Entertainers who are part of the Vaudeville Golfing Society will be among those taking part, including Ed Stewart, Jess Conrad and Gordon Peters.

Money raised will be going towards Berks/Bucks Rivertime Boat Trust trips for disabled and disadvantaged Children and for Prostate Cancer Research at Wexham Park Hospital.

Tickets cost £30 each and include the green fees, coffee, and lunch.

A raffle and auction will also be held with prizes including a weeks holiday apartment anywhere in the world, a digital camera, mobile phone, and golf trolley.

The golf starts at 9.30am. For more information or tickets call Thea McIntyre on 01753 543903.
