We need to start a "Clean up Slough" Campaign. For long enough have we been kept silent and the incident of today in my opinion is the icing on the cake!!!

No one deserves to be stabbed, but we must act rather then just talk!!!

Who has been keeping you silent Zahid?

'We must act rather than just talk' - great, nothing like a bunch of vigilantes to resolve an issue.

From your comments you stand neither here nor there. Where does vigalantes come from!! Asking for action from cival servents is our right! So lets not get carried away.

As for keeping me silent, i tell you what has been keeping me silent and its called being human nature, as humans we just get on with things that suit us and ignore what does not, which keeps most of us silent leaving this kind of work to the cival servents, who have not done enough. From reading all your comments it is becoming apparent, maybe you are one of those sad chaps who drives up and down ledgers road in the evening!!!

the problem with prostitution isnt just a \'crack\' problem. cracks been in slough for years, but the more overt problem with prostitution has only sprung up on ledgers road relatively recently. part of the problem is immigration, but by that i dont mean that only immigration breeds prostitution and crime. but where you get a huge influx of a certain part of an immigrant population you get non immigrants joining in because the area gets totally lost in the crime. where are you going to break the law? well, in an area where so many other people are doing it you can hopefully blend into the background and you are less likely to be the one \'pulled in\' by the police. safety and anonymity in numbers. and if you are one of the vast number of decent immigrants, where would you choose to live? as far away from the disreputable members of your community as you can.\r\n\r\nthere are a HUGE number of immigrant prostitutes in chalvey, many of whom may well have been forced into the \'job\' when in a foreign country with no money of their own and possibly owing money to people who are far more of a threat to them than angry neighbours and the police.they arent all crack heads. and seriously, what woman with options would choose to follow that way of life. and who gets the money? well, it wont be the women....

please dont be offended, noone is saying that the woman who died is a prostitute. personally i was referring to comments about prostitution in the area, and i think the subject was originally brought up because of the high crime rates in the area and prostitution is one of the more visible problems in the area. \r\n\r\nif someone is a victim of violent crime within a violent and crime-ridden area then the conversation will naturally turn to the crime in the area in general. the thing is, in a high crime area EVERYONE is in more danger, criminal and innocent bystander. it effects everyone, and the victim may or may not have anything to do with what eventually kills them. \r\n\r\nless crime, everyone is safer\r\n\r\n

well i think that if your going to comment under the headline of this story then keep the comments relevant to the story as its when other issues are included that dont relate to it, people presume the wrong things. No one deserves to die and people need to remember a 19yr old girl has been murdered, think of her family and friends. because these comments can be misconstruded and false accusations made.

my condolences.

i live very near to where this happened, and as well as feeling very sorry for the girl, and for her friends and family, it has also made me more afraid to go out at night. ive been aproached on a number of times by men who assume that because im female, and in the area, i must be a prostitute too, when all im doing is trying to go to my car, or go to buy milk. many of my female friends in the area feel the same. just driving down to the offlicense round the corner top top up my gas card a man tried to get into my car with me. i refuse to walk down the street in the dark on my own anymore.

chalvey isnt a very safe area any more, and its going downhill. obviously we dont know the full story yet, but i think its natural for people to voice shock and consternation when things like this happen and to list things that might have put her or other people at risk. mainly because they think what happened to your friend is bad, which is their way of saying they care.

youre right daryll. i think in a way it makes people feel more comfortable thinking it might be drug-related (maybe the attacker on drugs and so forth), because its more frightening to think someone could do something like this for 'no good reason'. that something like this is something you have less control over.

Does anyone know if this was related to honour killing?

Nobody deserves to get stabbed but you need to know what exactly happened. Look at it from all angles, could have been self-defense act or anything, we dont know what exactly its related to but some people from the community are saying it could be honor related.

Like this young girls other close friend has said.. think of her family and friends and what they're going through. An innocent girl who had so much to live for and worked hard has been taken away from them through a selfish act of voilence. Until more information is given then people will continue to make up their own opinions on what happened. But for now can I please ask that any stories heard be ignored until the full facts are known.

firstly i would like to say i am a very close friend to the girl that died, to say she was a \\\"hooker\\\" is hurtfull and rude. alot of people on here have already made up rumours and gossip, she was not a hooker and she wasnt cheating her boyfriend they wasnt even together properly, secondly i would like to get straight that she didnt deserve it nor was she too blame, in the past she had violent experineces with him yet when reported to the poilce they done nothing when he had other violent cases were against him now it has taken this to get something done, we\\\'ve lost a very special person in our lifes be respectfull...\\r\\nwe love you bby girl x-x-

Slough resdident - Thank you for commenting on it in a sensible way and addressing the facts. The young lady was not a prostitute nor did she cheat on her boyfirend and people need to be sensitive to the fact that two peoples families have been hurt and do not need to read things which are slanderous to them.

So if people haven't got anything nice to say then don't write anything!!!

If the girl was not cheating on her boyfriend then why is there a man in hospital? I am not wanting to accuse the girl of cheating but intrested to know why another man was involved, what ever the circumstances it does not warrant this reaction. Slouh Police Station is very close to Chalvey but why do we very rarely see there presence especially when there are men drinking outside the off-licences down there, why does it take for something like this a murder to make our streets safer, aleast Chalvey will be safe for a few days with the police around, but as usual this will all blow over and it will be the forgotten place yet again, condolences to the families and friends.

I really don\'t think what you are saying \"annono\" has anything to do with the death of a young girl that did not deserve to die. I also don\'t think it is anyone\'s business if she was or wasn\'t cheating. What people need to think about is how would they feel if a family member or a very close friend had been murdered.

It's a real shame that some people want to jump on this horrific tragedy to put forward their own theories about what happened, why and who is to blame.

Some things to remember before pointing the finger ...

1) The last big murder in Slough was that triple-axe murder in Wellesly Road - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/170431.stm

nasty

but the guy who did it was some bloke who worked at the train station - are all the people who work there homicidal maniacs? Well, bad example maybe, but they've managed to avoid killing anyone since. You can't judge from just one high-profile case.

2) Chalvey people used to be known as "Stab-monks", after an infamous incident when a whole gang of local people stabbed a monkey to death. Yes, stabbed a monkey to death. To commemorate the occasion, they then clubbed together and made a wooden monkey, which they used to parade around every year. You can still see it, in the church

3) Ledgers Road. Named after a local highwayman, who used to lie in wait there to rob and sometimes murder travellers on the Bath Road

All very interesting, but what it tells us is that nasty things go on in Slough, like anywhere else, and always have done, and you can't just blame which ever foriegner or somebody else you don't like (but don't actually know).

My feelings are with the people affected. Such a waste

I was close friends with this girl before i moved away from the area about 4 years ago and i have to say i was totally shocked to hear of this loss!

I am absolutely disgusted by some of the comments people have left on here, b/c there is another man in hospital ppl are assuming she was cheating on him and calling her a prostitute! From what i have been told the other man in hospital was actually with his girlfriend at the time and the woman who has been tragically taken was no prostitute nor would she take drugs!

As for the comment about the man in custody... why should we spare a thought for him?! Did he spare a beautiful bright young woman her life?! NO! Do u think he's sitting in his cell sparing a thought for her or the other mans family... Probably not!

I personally think prison is to good for him.. bring back capital punishment!

I would apprechiate it if everyone that wants to 'gossip' find the facts out first! And spare a thought for the young womans family and the man's family who remains in hospital!

I know its be a 'long time no see' thing but alwas asked after u! Hope ur watching down on us with that cheeky smile u had :)R.I.P Hun... u'll always be in our hearts! And to the family of the man in hospital.. my thoughts are with u all as well! Hope he gets better soon!

as far as i was aware noone was saying she was a prostitute. i think that it was misconstrued because a) a girl was killed and b) the area is very dangerous. one of the things that makes this area dangerous for women (other than the drunks and the addicts) is that there is a problem with prostitution. this isnt saying she was a prostitute, but that a woman who isnt a prostitute can be at risk in this area because the prostitutes attract crazies into the street, putting ALL female residents at risk. i think it was more a comment on the crime in the area that puts people at risk.

the higher the crime in the area, the higher the likelihood that anyone, innocent or guilty will get hurt.

(my own original comment was as a response to people thinking that all prostitutes are crack heads and that thats the problem with the area. i was pointing out that its not that simple. not all of the women who DO prostitute are doing so because of drug problems. there was no intent to imply that the girl who died was involved)

End Of The Day, Slough Is A Fail. Until You Experience What Happens In The Streets You Don't Have A Clue Because Most Of It Happens Undetected, Like Street Robbery.

I Blame The Police, They Are Incompetent And Just A Fail. They Are Never There When You Actually Need Them And When You Do See Police, They Are Looking For Something Like Road Tax Dates...Police Do Your Job Because No-one In Slough Is Scared Of You Or Even Respects You, If They Did Respect You, Then Maybe This Girl Would Have Not Been Stabbed.

Hello, My name is Aaron Treasure. Jane was my little sister.

Id just like to point out that the police have made it quite clear to the press that Jane was NOT A PROSTITUTE. She was NOT A DRUG USER. This was NOT A LOVE TRIANGLE. She was NOT CHEATING.

If she was any of the above it would have been printed in the news papers. I know my own sister and I could tell you that none of these horrible rumours are true.

These are extremely distressing to read for both my self and my mother. I ask you not to make silly comments about a person you didnt even know and allow my family to get through this difficult time.

Jane had a very large amount of friends and a big family. It would be unwise to spread such rumours around as it is a very sensitive issue for all involved.

Id like to say thanks to all the people who have defended Jane on this site.

RIP Jane. XXX

Hello Aaron and all the other people who knew J and know D.

People who have written comments...

I knew the people involved in this incident quite well. I would like to state that:

The Girl was not a prostitute and was not a drug user. In fact she was a very intelligent and respectful young lady who had alot going for her.

The Attacker was very likely to be incredibly intoxicated and I can be sure that he has never felt more guilty and sorry in his life about anything.

People don't kill people for fun (particularly in slough)

It was not 'honor' related in the traditional sense but i think paranoia and psychosis had affected the attackers mind and he felt that he had been treated dishonorably.

I have experienced good police service and bad police service and it's down to the officer not the whole police service in slough.

Once (in 2006/7) I was walking home in Chalvey and I saw the girl crying and hiding in a bus stop. Further up the road was the man who killed her talking to the man who is in hospital. The man who killed her was very drunk and possibly other things. I went to the shop and took a slow walk back. On the way back I adressed the Attacker and asked if evrything was 'cool' he responded by looking at me with a crazed look. I am quite sure that he was an angry person as he has had a hard life. He has been stabbed himself in the past. The girl was supposedly still with him all the while up until now. They clearly had something and the guy who is in hospital was always around them as he was the attackers close friend. I know no facts about the specific incident but i know some of the back story. All three paeople were nice enough but they all had thier own issues. I would call this a Tragedy and nothing else. It was simply a big fuck up on the attackers part and he will be punished severely (maybe not enough for the family and friends but I am confident he will suffer).

Aaron I know you very well and I hope you don't let anger and hate build up inside you. You are already an angry person and this was the last thing you needed. I trust in the fact that he will be puinished. He has many enemies many of whom are also in prison. They will get to him one way or another. Be calm and remember you have a force of richeous people behind you.

This crime was not because of any of the reason stated in the earlier comments. This kind of thing could have happened anywhere anytime and many people see it portrayed in Films and media almost everyday. They get a kick out of it and I think that anyone who has no connection with either of the three people involved should NOT have the right to comment on this article. There are forums and chat rooms for that. I have said many things because I am angry with the whole situation and I will proceed to state that:

Anyone who comments on this page is very, very stupid if they do not know the people in question. Please refrain form commenting on this article if you have no connection. If I see anymore comments I will challenge them and I will not back down.

Some of the people who have commented clearly don't know slough like i do. I grew up on the streets of slough and I have lived there my whole life. I lived in Chalvey for a number of years. Those of you who are too scared to leave your homes should also be scared to leave messages on websites. You have no right what so ever to comment on this incident and in my opinion neither do the papers . I am even questioning... (Continued below)

...the right I have myself to comment. I feel very frustrated with this whole situation.

I once came into contact with the attacker in a very negative and tense situation. I feel that we both narrowly escaped a similar incident. The attacker is not stable and needs to be locked away. This may not improve him as a person but at-least he will be off the streets of slough where he is not welcome and will never be welcome. If anything he should return to where he came from as he is not a long life resident of slough and more to the point he is not a good citizen of slough.

I was once one of those teenagers who did petty crimes and terrorised people but I have learnt from my mistakes. I think hat this incident is not related to the existing situation in slough and youth that populate it today. It was tragic and sudden. The attacker was not a drug dealer or pimp or anything of the sort. he was a confused young man who was lost and needed direction. If he was affected psychologically by drugs then this is where the problem, lies. I am almost certain he didn\'t take class A drugs. I think the modern hydroponic cannabis will have been the main cause of his psychological problems. I myself have experienced these problems and I have come very close to violence because of it. If the youth of slough were to stop smoking cannabis like I did they may go to university like i did. they may start a family like I intend to and they may make a positive difference in this messed up world. If I could tackle the root cause of the problem I would, but I can only do that with the use of a time machine.

These problems and this one in particular may or may not change the likelihood of this happening again but keep in mind that if you know nothing about something you should not comment, especially to a world wide audience over the internet. I have been a character in this story and I am sure if someone had written it they would not have written people who have no knowledge of the streets of slough who make comments on pages that are mainly used as a space to write tributes on articles about young girls who will be loved and missed greatly. Anyone who writes here risks upsetting people who are involved and will not be taken to kindly.

I am sorry for writing this here but I feel that I need to express myself to the people of slough. Slough is where my heart is and it breaks when people I know are involved in such tragic circumstances.
