Wedding photographer triumphs again
A WEDDING photographer has snapped yet another award for his photography.
Burnham based Mark Seymour, who has been photographing newly married couples at Tylney Hall near Hook for 18 years, has been named Brides Choice Wedding Photographer of the Year 2008 at the Master Photographers Association (MPA) annual awards.
He caught the judges' eye with photographs of Ruth and Sukh Singh who got married at the hotel in May and he won a crystal trophy and a photography ‘oscar' for his efforts.
Mr Seymour who has already been named MPA Acerboni European Wedding Photographer of the Year 2007 and runner-up in the National Portrait Photographer of the Year said: "I was thrilled to win this award as it was voted for by readers of Brides Magazine, who are the people I work with, as opposed to professional photographers.
"I had to submit a portfolio of 10 pictures and for an award you need to select photos that are really different, there is no point in simply submitting standard photos of the bride and groom smiling."
Mrs Singh, of Farnham, Surrey, said: "He is personable, professional, friendly and unobtrusive, with a natural ability to make you feel at ease. His images capture the emotion of the moment and without doubt he is a truly exceptional wedding photographer. We were thrilled to hear he had won the prize with our photos, which really is the icing on the cake."
