Pensioner handed ASBO

A DRUNKEN pensioner who has made his neighbours lives a living hell has been given a two-year ASBO.

William Trevorrow, 63, of Scafell Road, Slough, is now banned from being drunk or consuming alcohol in public in England and Wales after he was issued with the ASBO at Bracknell Magistrates' Court on Tuesday last week.

The order was handed down to the pensioner, who has a history of anti-social behaviour, after complaints were made about him regularly urinating in public as well as being being aggressive and swearing.

PC Dave Stride, Anti-social Behaviour Co-ordinator for Slough, said: "I am very pleased that the courts have made this order.

"Trevorrow is a habitual drunk who has been offered rehabilitation in the past, however this has not been successful due to his reluctance to participate.

"This ASBO and the conditions that it imposes will give some respite to those individuals who have suffered from his unacceptable behaviour."

Trevorrow could face a prison sentence of up to five years if he fails to comply with the conditions of his ASBO until 20 January 2011 which are as follows:

- Not to expose his genitals in a public place.

- Not to use threatening, abusive, insulting words or behaviour towards any person.

- Not to consume intoxicating liquor in any public place, or place to which the public has access (save for on licensed premises), or any communal areas at his place of   residence.

- Not to be intoxicated (drunk) in any public place, or place to which the public have access, or any communal areas at his place of residence.

- Not to urinate in a public place other than a place specifically built for this purpose.
