Mudge looks to keep squad together

Dave Mudge is staying at the Gore
BURNHAM boss Dave Mudge expects most of his squad stay on at the club over the summer.
Taking time out from holidaying in the Canary Islands, Mudge confirmed that he would continue as manager at The Gore next season while coaches George Talbot and Derek Sweetman have also committed their futures.
Mudge said: "Everybody is staying. There's a possibility that one player may go and we have brought one in. The whole coaching staff are staying."
At the moment all agreements are verbal but the manager says he will be able to release more specific details when players have officially signed for the club.
After Burnham failed in their promotion bid from Southern League Division One South & West last season there were suggestions that Mudge might leave the South Buckinghamshire club.
However, he says he has sat down with chairman Malcolm Higton and ironed out any problems that might have existed.
"The question of not wanting to stay on was not quite as it came out," Mudge said. "I needed to know that the club was committed to the future.
"The chairman is happy with the way things are going, I'm happy with the way things are going and we are going to give it a crack again next season."
