English Premier Ice Hockey League

Slough Jets 3, Sheffield Scimitars 4

STEVE Moria simply did not have the answers to explain his side’s first home loss in the English Premier League this season.

The Slough Jets head coach was left scratching his head as to why his side put in what he felt was a below-par performance against Sheffield Scimitars yesterday (Saturday), which saw them slip back into mid-table after a brief dalliance with the league-leaders last week.

“The whole game we were poor,” Moria said afterwards. “We just lacked the energy we have had throughout the season.

“I am very disappointed and I think everybody’s disappointed. As for answers and reasons – I don’t know."

Goals from Moria, Les Millie and Scott Spearing could not prevent defeat after Sheffield pair Robert Dowd and Stephen Wallace proved the difference between the sides.
