Jets bounce back from cup heartbreak with convincing win
By Steve Spencer
STEVE MORIA’S Slough Jets bounced back from their heart-breaking EPL Cup final loss to Bracknell Bees with a 6-2 win against Milton Keynes Lightning in the league.
The win maintains the Jets' bid to capture the title from league leaders Guildford Flames and also keeps Moria’s side on course for the play-offs.
Zoran Kozic gave Slough the lead on 5.31 before Jan Krajicek doubled the home side's lead with a powerplay strike on 9.12.
In the second period, the Jets struck again through Stewart Tait at 22.19.
Milton Keynes then hit back through Gary Clarke, but it did not faze Slough who added their fourth when Krajicek got his second.
The final period saw Milton Keynes score 23 seconds in through Alas Parez.
Les Millie and Kozic completed the scoring for the Jets.
