SLOUGH Town managed to get their first win under Derek Sweetman as they beat Godalming Town in a five goal thriller.

The Rebels won 3-2 on Saturday in an incident filled match that saw three penalties awarded.

Goals from Roy Gumbs, James Pritchard and Steve Daly sealed the three points.

“We had some frightening moments in the last ten minutes, it was edge of your seat stuff," remarked Sweetman.

“We didn’t play particularly well but with what was riding on the game, it was never going to be a classic.

“We set our stall out to get three points and we finally managed to do it.

“It feels lovely to get our first win."
