DAVE Mudge is confident his side can overcome fourth placed Oxford City away tomorrow (Saturday).

Burnham’s play-off bid is over for this season, but the Blues boss believes City will rest players ahead of their play-off semi-final in 11 days time.

“I’m going to try and win the game,” he said.

“I look at Oxford City and if he’s (the manager) resound to the fact that they can’t get second then he’s going to rest players.

“That’s the same with Didcot Town [next Saturday] if they have a play-off game on the Tuesday, then they’ll rest key players.”

After three defeats on the trot, Mudge knows it is important to win the final two games of the season and finish as strongly and as high up the table as possible.

“We have to roll our sleeves up,” he said.

“I’ll be making one or two changes. Adam Durrant is probably not going to make it so Richard Jeffereys will come in against a team who are third/fourth in the league, so it’ll be a difficult experience for him. Apart from that it should be the same line-up.”
