FOOTBALL

SLOUGH Town enjoyed a very successful day but neither Windsor & Eton or Burnham could win.

Newport IOW 1-3 Slough Town

The Rebels came from behind to secure a vital victory at Newport.

Lilley gave the hosts a fourth minute lead but Terry Davies equalised in the first half before late drama.

John Gray and Roy Gumbs scored in the last ten minutes to close the gap on Bracknell Town to just two points as they lost 4-0 at home to Gosport Borough.

Farnborough Town 1-1 Windsor & Eton

In an excellent game Farnborough clinched the league title thanks to a point as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Windsor.

Keith Scott\'s men went in front four minutes before the break thanks to Joe Chandiram but Harkness hit back midway through the second half.

Oxford City 1-0 Burnham

Burnham went down to a solitary strike from Yashwa Romeo 15 minutes from time.

It was a game that could have gone either way as Oxford had most of the pressure but the Blues created as many chances as them with Jordan Dowdican hitting the bar for Burnham.
