SLOUGH Town’s bid for survival continues with a tough trip to Bridgwater Town on Tuesday evening.

The Somerset side have an impressive home record and still have a chance of making the play-offs but require maximum points from their remaining games if they are to do so.

Manager Derek Sweetman said: “I’m expecting a very tough game, Bridgwater are in the same position as us. They still have an outside chance of making the play-offs if they win their last two games and teams elsewhere slip up.

“It’s a tough game, Bridgwater are a very good side, especially at home, so it is a huge ask but one that we are looking forward to.

“We will go to Bridgwater hoping not to get beaten. The ideal scenario is to win but it is quite important that we don’t come away with nothing.”

The Rebels will head to Bridwater with a near full strength side to choose from.

“Brian Connor is unavailable tonight due to work commitments but Ryan Wharton has come through a fitness test,” remarked Sweetman.

“Lee Carroll is out long term with the damaged ligaments in his hand so Jacko [Jamie Jackson] will carry on in goal.”
