THE Rebels moved to within a point of safety with a goalless at Bridgwater Town on Tuesday evening.

In a battling display, Slough Town could have won the game late on as the hosts were reduced to ten men but it was not meant to be.

“We went there with the intention of getting three points but the crux of the matter was to come away with a point," said manager Derek Sweetman.

“I thought the lads worked really hard and on the night probably deserved the three points.

"Usif Bangura was through on goal and cynically pulled down by their defender so rather than having a one-on-one we have a free kick 25 yards out.

"These things are a bitter pill to swallow but I would have expected my centre half to do the same thing."
