NEW overseas player Nilantha Cooray helped Slough to a friendly victory against Burnham on Saturday.

The Sri Lanka leg spinner picked up five wickets as Burnham made 175-5 in 45 overs which wasn't enough as Slough made it home with five overs to spare to win by seven wickets.

"We won quite comfortably," said Slough skipper Bobby Sher.

Both sides start their Home Counties campaign this weekend as Slough travel to Division One champions Oxford and Burnham host Basingstoke & N Hants in Division Two West.
