SLOUGH Jets have beaten off stiff competition to resign 22-year-old defenceman Kevin Phillips for next season.
Talented youngster, Phillips has won World Championship gold for Great Britain in two age groups – under-18 and under-20.
Head coach Steve Moria commented: “This signing gives a huge boost to our chances next season.
“I was not sure if we would get Kevin back as many clubs were after his services, but I’m very pleased that he has chosen to return to the Jets.
“Surely with his talent, Kevin must be in the reckoning for being considered for the GB squad.”
On resigning for the Jets Phillips said: “I really enjoyed last season as I got plenty of ice time and was able to further improve my game.
“Winning the play-offs was just the icing on the cake. Bring on the start of this season.”
