Slough Town manager Derek Sweetman

Football

A CRACKING fixture is first up in the Southern Football League Division One South & West as Burnham travel to Slough Town on Saturday, August 16.

Rebels supremo, Derek Sweetman, who took over at Slough just before Easter, will do battle with his former boss Dave Mudge where he was his assitant previously.

“It’s going to be interesting,” remarked Sweetman.

“It’s a good start for us.

“Playing Burnham in the first game of the season is going to be a good measure for us, we played them in my first game when I took over last year and now playing them in my first game in my first full season will see how far we’ve come."
