Slough Town boss Derek Sweetman

SLOUGH Town go to North Leigh on Tuesday evening on the back of a point on the opening day of the season.

Manager Derek Sweetman is taking his troops into the unknown but is expecting a tough physical test.

“Away to North Leigh on Tuesday," he said: "That will be a completely new venture for us because obviously they’ve come up from the Hellenic League.

“Having played Whitney from the Hellenic League, we know it will be a physically tough encounter but one, after today’s performance, that we should be looking to push on and maybe increase our performance."

He added: “There are some very good sides that have come into the division but if we can continue to improve, we are a work in progress and I certainly didn’t expect the finished article first day of the season, I’m very positive.”
