BURNHAM continued their fine start to the campaign with a 4-1 victory over Abingdon United at The Gore on Saturday.

Jamie Handscombe's opener was quickly cancelled out by Anaclet Odhiambo but the Blues upped it after the break.

They won with second half strikes from Ryan Bird and two from Ben Hudell.

Manager Dave Mudge said: "I think in the second half we were tremendous but I thought in the first half we poor all over the park.

"We showed them too much respect early on, sat off them and said to them go and play and they are a decent side if you do that.

"Second half we were in their faces and we ended up getting possession in good areas and punished them because of that."
