With Beaconsfield SYCOB flying at the moment manager Jamie Jarvis does not want a break in the Southern League Division One South & West campaign.

However, the FA Cup run starts on Saturday in the Preliminary Round with the Rams at home to Hellenic Premier Division outfit Marlow United, who registered their first win of the league this season on Tuesday evening with a 2-1 triumph at Reading Town.

They won through their Extra Preliminary Round clash against Hungerford Town on penalties having drawn 2-2 after extra time.

Beaconsfield meanwhile have won three league games on the bounce against Gosport Borough, AFC Totton and Uxbridge after losing their opening match of the campaign at Andover.

Jarvis remarked: “To be fair, looking at it at the moment we don’t want the two week break in the league.

“But the cup will provide a nice distraction then it’s back to business against Bracknell.”

Striker Bradley Bubb injured his groin in the win over Totton on Saturday and is the only doubt for the Marlow United game at Holloways Park this weekend.

“I’m trying to get him on the bench for Saturday,” said the boss. “Hopefully we can get him on for the last half an hour. Apart from that we will be at full strength.”
