Burnham leave it very late

RYAN Bird rescued Burnham with a late, late equaliser in their 1-1 draw at Aylesbury Vale on Saturday.

He was thrown up front in a frantic finale and it paid off for Dave Mudge as they go to a replay on Tuesday night.

"We live to fight another day on Tuesday," remarked Mudge.

"We're in the draw and that's all you can ask for. We didn't play very well but to be fair to Aylesbury they made it very difficult for us and they are going well themselves.

"We changed the system and threw eight up front for the last five minutes with one in midfield and one at the back."
