Pinewood chief executive joins creative industry leaders at summit

PINEWOOD's chief executive joined a host of famous faces to discuss the creative industries at an important summit.

Ivan Dunleavy spoke at the Global Business Summit on Creative Content at Lancaster House in London, exploring the challenges around commercialising creativity and ideas in an international landscape.

He joined creative industry leaders at the summit yesterday (Tuesday), which was organised by UK Trade and Investment at the British Business Embassy,

including Sir Howard Stringer, chairman of Sony Corp, Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan, co-chairmen of Working Title Films, James Bond producer Michael G. Wilson and Stella McCartney.

Andrew Smith, Pinewood's director of strategy and communications said: "This global summit is an important initiative, held at an important time, for an important industry.

"The creative industries in the UK are growing and has been identified by the government as a key sector that will help to lead the recovery.

"The individuals and companies involved today helped highlight the contribution that British creativity is playing in the global market and film in particular."
