Plan for the future and support a good cause
LAWYERS will put pen to paper for an annual charity campaign helping people plan for the future while supporting a good cause.
Representatives from ten solicitors in Reading, Wokingham and Newbury, gathered at law firm Blandy & Blandy, in Friar Street, last Friday to mark Make a Will Fortnight.
The businesses will for the next two weeks write free wills for clients in exchange for donations to the Duchess of Kent Hospice Charity (DoKHC), which raises funds for the Duchess of Kent House Hospice in Liebenrood Road.
DoKHC fundraising director George Solly has set a £10,000 fundraising target and added: "This is a great opportunity for people to access good value professional will writing and put their affairs in order, whilst benefiting the charity at the same time."
The suggested donation is £100 for a single will and £150 for a mirror will. People are also urged to leave legacies to the charity.
The firms taking part are Blandy & Blandy, Barrett and Co, Boyes Turner, Caversham Solicitors, Clifton Ingram, Field Seymour Parkes, Gardner Leader, Ratcliffe Duce and Gammer, Rowberry Morris and The Head Partnership.
