A COUNCIL has expressed its 'disappointment' at being out-bid during an auction for The Cross Keys pub in Chalvey.
The Savills auction took place at London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square yesterday where the site went for £900,000.
Stephen Gibson, head of asset management for Slough Borough Council, said: “We’re naturally disappointed that the auction didn’t go our way.
“However, as owners of the adjoining site, we hope to work closely with the new landowner.”
