MEMBERS of an allotment and garden association came together for a barbecue to celebrate a year of hard work.
Langley Allotments & Gardens Association members held their annual barbecue in Horsemoor Green Allotments, Common Road, Langley, on Saturday 15.
The event is designed as a social gathering and a chance for keen gardeners to meet others who share their passions.
Jim Breeds, member of the association, said the barbecue always goes down a treat, but admitted that none of their produce was used for their feast.
He said: "It was a really nice day and we had good weather which always makes it so much better.
"We didn't use any of our produce though which I only thought about after - maybe that'll have made a nice touch?
"I don't actually have an allotment yet, I'm still on the waiting list, but I'm actively involved in the association and am looking forward to getting an allotment."
