MEMBERS of the public are invited to attend Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Annual Members’ Meeting.

The trust will give talks and discuss a range of topics tonight (Tuesday) from 6pm to 8.30pm.

Sarah Waldron, the trust’s membership development manager is sure it will be an interesting evening and said: ”I’m really looking forward to this year’s annual members’ meeting.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to hear about the great work the cancer care team is doing and speak directly to some of the hospitals’ expert clinicians.

"So why not join me and find out more about what’s going on at your local hospitals?”

The event is free and will be held at the Legoland Windsor Hotel in Winkfield Road. Chief Executive Sir Andrew Morris, and Chairman Sir Mike Aaronson will talk about Frimley Health’s multi-million pound building projects and other plans for the future, as well as reporting on the year’s progress.

The trust’s cancer care team will give a talk at the event and guests will have the chance to speak directly with some of the experts.

The hospitals will also show off their most innovative services, including an empathy suit, which is used during training to allow staff to experience challenges that some elderly people face daily and the ‘veinsite’ headset, which uses infra-red light to show up superficial veins for when medication is given via a tube directly into their veins on multiple occasions.
