SLOUGH Town Supporters Trust members set out to make sure the whole town knew it had a flourishing football club when it held a promotional event at the Observatory shopping centre on Sunday (8/11).
Dan Brench from the trust said: "We gave out 100 balloons to children along with free tickets to league matches and a few scarves and hats, along with fixture lists and youth section info, plus plenty of sweets.
"We're planning to run another similar event in the new year and we hope to have more solid news on the new community sports facilities progress for then.
"People do keep asking us about it. We'd like to thank our volunteers and all those who came to see us on Sunday."
The plans for a new stadium for the club won approval from Slough Borough Council in the summer.
The old sports pitch at St Joseph Catholic High School will be its location - the school is getting a new pitch.
The football club's new stadium will boast club house style rooms,, a bar available for hire and a main stand.
