A SLOUGH man has been jailed for more than four years for causing a female to engage in sexual activity and blackmail.

Justin Munt, 31, of Odencroft Road, Slough, was sentenced at Amersham Crown Court yesterday (Monday) to three years imprisonment for the sexual offence - causing a woman to engage in sexual activity without consent - and 18 months in prison for the blackmail offence, to run consecutively - a total of four-and-a-half-years in jail.

Munt pleaded guilty at Amersham Crown Court on December 7 last year to the offences which took place between May 15, 2015 and October 31, 2015.

Munt blackmailed his female victim to engage in sexual activity without her consent, and was arrested on November 7, 2015 after the victim contacted officers and made a report to the police.

Investigating officer, detective constable Becky Tyler of Force CID based at High Wycombe, said: “Munt was an individual who blackmailed a frightened and vulnerable woman.

“I hope that the sentence given to Munt will help the victim come to terms with the ordeal she has been through, and she can move on from this.

“I also hope this will enable other victims of sexual abuse to come forward, as we will always investigate any allegations fully and bring those who commit crimes such as these to justice.”
