Speaking when the first monthly results were released in December, Levine Whitham, food and safety manager, said: “Every month we carry out food hygiene inspections, to check they are complying with minimum food hygiene standards and also to give advice to food businesses on operating within the law.

“This information is always publicly available on the Food Standards Agency’s website, but often forgotten by residents who may be making a snap decision on where to eat.

“By releasing the best and the worst monthly we hope to remind people of the importance of checking the rating before eating out, and choosing businesses who make sure their premises are clean and don’t put residents at risk.”
