THE first residential scheme to be delivered by a town's regeneration project will be unveiled at an exclusive pre-launch event at the end of this month.

Milestone, the residential scheme comprising of 73 houses in total - a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom houses - will be delivered by Slough Urban Renewal.

Located in Ledgers Road, Slough, on the former Town Hall site, the homes will set the standard for the town’s future residential developments, offering both private homes and those for affordable rent.

The Government’s Help to Buy scheme will also be available to first time buyers.

Cllr Rob Anderson, leader of Slough Borough Council, added: "Milestone is delivering much-needed housing supply in the borough.

"This development is one of a number of projects making a step-change to the built environment of Slough, and part of our complete regeneration of the town centre.

"These are also the first houses to be built through the council's own Regeneration Partnership, Slough Urban Renewal - so this Milestone development already lives up to its name."

Slough Urban Renewal, a partnership between Slough Borough Council and Morgan Sindall Investments Limited, aims to transform the town and create more opportunity for the residents of Slough.

The houses are due to be released for sale in the late spring.
