SIX people from Slough have been arrested after police seized large amounts of drugs and cash from homes in the town.

Around two kilos of cannabis were confiscated from one of six properties targeted by officers just after 7am this morning.

Slough Observer:

Supt Gavin Wong, local police commander for Slough, said: “I am pleased with this morning’s pre-planned operation which has resulted in a number of arrests and a large quantity of cannabis, to an estimated street value of six to seven thousand pounds, being taken off the streets of Slough.

“Around 60 police officers and staff were involved in today’s operation which has resulted from community information and intelligence."

Police carried out four of the warrants in The Crescent, one was in Hull Close and the other was in Wade Drive.

Four men, aged 25, 28, 29 and 33, were arrested on suspicion of money laundering, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply and a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a gun. They are still in police custody.

The sixth arrested person was a woman arrested in connection with an unrelated matter and she since been released from custody.
