A MAN was assaulted at his own home and left with grazes and bruises before having his phone stolen in Slough on Wednesday night.

The victim, who was in his thirties, was punched in the face by one of three men who were robbing his home in Cromwell Drive.

The three men went into the home at 11.10pm after the front door had been left ajar. They tried to steal the safe and he managed to stop them but they took his mobile phone then left.

Det Con Ryan Powell, investigating officer from Slough Local CID, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the three males in the vicinity either prior to or after the incident.

“We know that they stood outside the property talking before entering so it’s possible that residents living nearby may have seen them or something linked to the incident.”

“I would like to reassure the public that a thorough investigation is under way and that crimes of this nature are rare.”

All three men are believed to be white and aged between 15 to 20 years old. Two of them were dressed in all black and wore face coverings.
