TWO men who caused a man to try and escape from a bathroom window shouting 'someone's trying to kill me' at a home in Slough, have been jailed.

Fabian Boyde, 22, of Winvale and Patrick Blake, 20, of Pentland Road were jailed for seven years each at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday.

The pair were found guilty of being in possession of a shotgun, with the intent to cause fear of violence.

Boyde and Blake were found acting suspiciously, close to the home in Newport Road, where the man had tried to escape in fear on Wednesday, March 11 last year.

Det Con James Heath, investigating officer from Force CID, said: “I am pleased with the sentences which reflect the severity of the crime committed and the fact that these two men entered the flat in possession of a firearm.

“Through our investigations, we know that both Boyde and Blake went to the address armed with a sawn off shot gun, barging their way in when the door was opened.

“An altercation then took place between the pair and a man which led to the firearm being discharged.

“Thankfully, no-one was injured.”

Police entered the flat where the man was seen climbing out of the bathroom window to check on him but the flat was empty.

A small hole was found in the floor of the bathroom showing that a gun had been fired.

Each man was sentenced to seven years in prison with Boyde being given an additional month, to run concurrently, for possession of cocaine.
