PARENTS have been warned to take extra care after a ‘serious incident’ in which a man tried to abduct an 11-year-old school pupil.

Lynch Hill School Primary Academy, in Garrard Road, Slough, sent a letter out to parents after a man in a black saloon car attempted to lure one of its pupils into his car in Pemberton Road, Britwell, last Tuesday at around 4.40pm.

According to the police the man said to the boy “your mum has sent me to get you, get in the car and I will take you home”.

The frightened boy then ran home and told his mother.

A further sighting of a man matching a similar description and car, was seen again on Friday evening in Garrard Road.

Edwin Przepiorka, who’s seven-year-old daughter attends the school, said: “I’m scared because obviously my daughter is a little girl.

“There is always someone there to pick her up from school but sometimes she wants to go out and play. We live near the school and now that can’t happen.”

He added: “I’m frightened and even more now that he’s not afraid to try once. If he’s going to try again he’s not afraid.”

The school said it is working with police and parents should “be vigilant and to talk to your children about family safety rules”. It has also made it clear the child should know who is collecting them.

The man in question was white, young looking maybe in his mid-twenties, with green eyes, a tattoo on his left arm, wearing glasses, with brown hair flicked or gelled back and of thin build.

PS Gary Ryan of the Britwell Neighbourhood Policing team, said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this incident, we are conducting patrols in the area, and I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to one of the neighbourhood team. If anyone has any further information in connection with these incidents I would ask them to contact 101 and quote the reference 1002 26/04/16.”
