Fears for a motorcylist who was injured in an accident on the M4 on Friday morning have been eased this week.
The accident happened shortly before 9am between junctions 7 and 8 on the westbound carriageway, dramatically closing the road so the Air Ambulance could land - leading to fears that the motorcylist was badly hurt.
Initial reports suggested that a car had been involved.
But this week a spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said that the motorcyclist's injuries had turned out to be minor and that he had been taken by land ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading for a check-up.
Initial reports that a car may have been involved in the accident were unfounded.
