A SCHOOL has hosted a Kind Campaign Assembly, bringing awareness to the negative and last effects of girl-against-girl bullying.

According to The Langley Academy, which held the assembly last Friday (6/5), the assembly is the first of its kind to be held in the UK.

The internationally recognised movement, documentary and school program based upon the powerful belief in kindness, saw more than a 180 Key Stage 3 female students take part in the campaign, delivered by founders Lauren Parsekian and Molly Thompson, all the way from America.

Marium Rafiq, Year 12 house tutor and teacher of humanities, said: "Students were truly touched by the assembly which involved the girls in activities of writing kind pledges, kind cards and kind apologies to other females.

"This positive campaign has been a great success at the academy, with students utilising their learning experience not only within the academy but also using their kindness in the wider community."
