A MOVE date has been agreed for the Langley Post Office, set to relocate to larger premises in Harrow Market.

The branch, which has been run by Postmaster Roy Matta and his family for the past 27 years, will make the change to 13 Harrow Market, Langley, on Wednesday, June 8, at 9am.

The current site at 278 High Street, Langley, will close on Wednesday, June 1 at 5.30pm. During the relocation the nearest alternative branches are the Slough branch, in High Street, Slough, and Castleview Parade branch, in London Road, Slough.

Langley Post Office will have four modern serving positions - two open-plan counters, one screened and an open-plan Post Office service point next to the retail till. This would be the same number and style of counters as currently.

All the counters will open Monday to Saturday, 9am until 6pm, and the counter next to the retail till would also open Sunday, 9am until noon - providing an extra 11 hours a week of Post Office service.
