A DESPERATE plea has been issued to help find a beloved dog.

Dana, a two-and-a-half-year-old cross between a Jack Russell and a Whippet, went missing from Langley on Saturday, June 18.

Her distraught owner, Michele Rodriguez, adopted Dana in February this year.

She said: “She came all the way to us from Serbia and had a tough life on the streets in her first year. But you would have never thought she had had such a life as she is so sweet, loving and good natured!

“Although quite shy and timid at first, she bonded quite well with me, my partner Paul and our other dog Freddy. By the end of the first week together they were play fighting and getting on really well. She is a little shy of strangers but once she gets to know you, she is very loving.

“She is fantastic with other dogs and always would go up to them to get to know them. And she is a fast runner!”

Slough Observer:

Ms Rodriguez lives in Oxon but she and her partner, Paul, had taken Dana to visit Paul's parents in Meadfield Road, Langley.

Ms Rodriguez said: “It was while she was out in the garden that something must have spooked her and we believe she got out by crawling under a gap in the side gate. “As soon as Paul’s father realised what had happened, he got in his car to look for her and saw her running along Mead Avenue.

“She was so quick that by the time he got out of his car, she had disappeared.”

Since then Ms Rodriguez said there have been some sighting of Dana in Langley near the canal, the Nisa shop in Willoughby Road, at the Chestnuts pub on St Mary’s Road and Langley Memorial park.

There have also been sightings in Iver, one possibly in Love Lane and others in Iver High Street and Grange Way/Dutton Way. The latest sighting of her, although not confirmed was on Sunday, July 3, on the High Street near the shops, in Eton Wick.

Ms Rodriguez said: “We are desperate to get her back and although she may be able to survive on the streets, she belongs at home with us, with her family!

“The area where she went missing from is totally unknown to her. If anyone has seen her or thinks they have seen her in or around where she has been previously sighted, please contact us!”
