A BURNHAM home-care service raised more than £5,000 for charity through a fundraising fete.
Bluebird Care hosted the event on Friday, July 8 and raised £5,720 for cancer charities CLIC Sargent, Cancer Recovery UK and Kids N Cancer.
Cheeky Charlie's Charity Craze was held at Lynch Hill Primary Academy, as a thank you to the three charities as Charlie, the son of Bluebird Care's manager, Nicky Beadle, received support from them.
She said: “The event was organised by my deputy Katy Cresswell to say thank you to the three charities, which gave financial support to Charlie’s recent trip to the US for proton beam therapy. It was a fun-filled fantastic afternoon for the children, their families and local people.”
Bluebird Care director Anne Inglis added: “We were delighted to support Nicky, Charlie and the rest of the family by sponsoring the fete for three such fantastic causes. The work they do transforms the lives of so many people and it was a great community event for all.”
